The initialling of the German-Israeli and the German-Jewish agreements on reparations, which was set for tomorrow, has been postponed and no new date has been fixed, it was stated here today. The formal signing of the pacts, which was scheduled to take place at Luxembourg between September 8 and 10 has also been postponed indefinitely.
(From Bonn it was reported that the West German Cabinet will meet next Monday to consider the reparations agreements worked out at The Hague by German, Israeli and world Jewish organization delegations. The meeting was postponed from this week in order to permit Finance Minister Fritz Schaefer, who is currently attending a meeting of the World Bank in Mexico City, to be present.)
