Finance Minister Pinhas Sapir of Israel will be the principal speaker at the national leadership conference here January 9-11 launching the 1970 Israel Bond campaign. The campaign will mark the twentieth anniversary of the sale of Israel bonds.
Louis H. Boyar, chairman of the board of governors of the Israel Bond Organization, in a statement today on the conference, stressed the importance of Israel Bonds during the coming year. He pointed out “Israel must maintain its economy at peak strength in a time of continuing danger.” He noted that “special provision must be made for the economic absorption of an immigration that is expected to reach 60,000 during 1970.”
