Since the beginning of April, there have been 1,400 fires in Israel that have destroyed 2,500 acres of planted forests, more than 10,000 acres of natural forest and 25,000 acres of grazing land and uncultivated fields.
According to the Jewish National Fund, there has been a decline in such incidents in recent weeks. However, last week there were 23 fires that destroyed 250 acres of natural forest land across Israel.
