The first American ship to be transferred directly to the Israel flag sailed from here today following ceremonies in which local Zionist leaders participated. The ship’s name was changed from “Atlantic City” to “Meir Dizengoff” in honor of the first mayor of Tel Aviv. Other American ships which have flown the Israel flag since the war have all been chartered.
