The launching of the first boat from the harbor being constructed here was celebrated today while Arab leaders met at Jaffa to map opposition to the new port.
Members of the Arab Supreme Committee, fearing the Tel Aviv harbor would compete with the Jaffa port, planned to bring their opposition to the attention of the British Royal Commission, which is coming here shortly to investigate recent disorders.
With a northern breakwater completed and work being pressed on a jetty which will make landing of liners here possible, the Zebulun Seafaring Club, launched the Baazak, a vessel manufactured domestically by the Zebulun Co. headed by M. Tuvim.
