Commercial flights between Israel and Egypt are now a reality. El Al flew its first flight to Cairo and back Monday. Nefertiti, the new Egyptian airline, started specifically for the Egypt-Israel route, inaugurated its run to Ben Gurion Airport today and then flew back to Cairo.

The Egyptian plane had only a few passengers, two Egyptians, and the rest Israelis. It recently bought two planes from Britain for use on the route. El Al has trained a special team to handle the new flights. Nefertiti has also given special training to employes who will be dealing with Israelis. Both lines will be making round-trip flights twice a week; El Al on Mondays and Thursdays and Nefertiti on Wednesdays and Sundays. (By Yitzhak Shargil)
