The first country-wide conference of Orthodox rabbis in Australia concluded here today. Rabbi Israel Porush, in one of the featured addresses of the convention, pointed out that “one of the dangers” facing the ministry in the “geographically remote country is stagnation.” He asserted that the only way to avoid this is “personal contact” between the rabbis and their widespread congregations.
