The first country-wide Jewish culture conference, sponsored by the Jewish Writers Association here, opened today with 100 delegates representing Jewish communities in various Italian cities, as well as DP camps and collectives in attendance.
Thousands of cultural exhibits, submitted by many Jewish groups in the country, were on display and were viewed with great interest by the delegates. A plan for a “World Jewish Culture Congress” was outlined by Dr. Leo 3emstein, principal speaker.
