The first Greek Catholic Church built in Israel was dedicated yesterday in the Arab village of Issfiya, in which some 400 members of the Greek Orthodox Church live.
The dedication was performed by Archbishop Hakim, leader of the church in Israel, in the presence of many church leaders from Israel, Jordan and Lebanon. Construction was financed in part by contributions from Belgium.
