Next Saturday, March 31, first day of Passover, the Acme Theatre will show a new talkie of the life of the Chalutzim (pioneers) in Palestine. The talkie is in Hebrew, with English captions, and was produced in Palestine. All roles in the picture are played by members of the famous Habima troupe.
The movie is called “Chalutzim” and depicts various Eastern European Jews on their way to Palestine as well as the pioneers who are building the new Jewish homeland with love, enthusiasm and honest productive labor.
