The first issue of the Canadian Jewish Chronicle Review, resulting from a merger of the Canadian Jewish Chronicle and the Canadian Jewish Review, was published here this week. The Review was purchased by Jewish Chronicle Enterprises, Inc. according to Stanley R. Shenkman, president of the Jewish Chronicle Company.
Mr. Shenkman announced that David Novek, Chronicle managing editor, had been named editor and publisher of the merged weekly. Max Malemet, editor-in-chief of the Chronicle, will hold that post in the new publication. The Chronicle Review will be one of the largest English-language audited circulation weekly publications in Canada.
