Organization of the first Italian Zionist unit in this country, affiliated with the Zionist Organization of America, was announced today.
The unit, named the Commander Levi Bianchini Society in honor of the man who was killed in an Arab ambush while heading an Italian naval mission to Palestine after the war, is headed by Giuseppe Bertel, president, noted radiologist formerly on the faculty of Bologna University, and Dr. Edward D. Kleinlerer, former J.T.A. correspondent in Rome, vice-president. Secretary is Engineer Luzatto, nephew of the well-known Italian Jewish scholar, Samuel Luzzatto. The society has a member-Ship of 50.
