The first Jewish collective farm in western Poland was established last week by a group of Jewish farmers in the Dzierzanow area, according to a report received here today. The farmers, who surrendered their ownership of the land to establish the 400-acre collective farm on Soviet lines, acted after a vigorous propaganda campaign conducted by representatives of the Warsaw Jewish cultural and social organization.
Polish authorities, in cooperation with representatives of the Jewish community in Warsaw, have set up a committee to erect a memorial for the hundreds of thousands of Jews executed in the Treblinka death camp. Members of the Jewish Central Committee who recently visited the notorious site reported that all human remains, which until recently had been strewn about, have been reburied.
