The first Jewish community center in Israel, known as Beit Hancar, will open in Jerusalem within a fortnight, according to word received here by Frank L. Weil, president of the World Federation of IMBA’s and Jewish Community Centers, sponsor of the project. The Jerusalem center will be housed in a two-story building formerly used as a hotel.
