Albert M. Bank was named principal of North High School here today by the Borad of Education. He succeeds Waldo W. Hobbs, first prinicipal of the city’s largest high school, who served in that office for forty-two years. Mr. Hobbs tendered his resignation to the Board last week.
Mr. Bank is the first Jewish principal of a high school in Minneapolis. He is a graduate of the school, having received his diploma there in 1902 from Mr. Hobbs.
