The first Jewish religious program on the Hungarian radio was inaugurated today with an address by Chief Rabbi Hevesy.
“This is a great day considering the tortures, deportations, and assessinations of Jews a year ago,” Rabbi Hevesy declared. “The Hungarian radio’s gesture is a hopeful sign of better days.” The half-hour program will be presented weekly.
