Gamma Theta Phi, a local organization for Jewish women, was granted a charter at Iowa City, by the authorities of the University of Iowa. This is the first time in the history of the University that there have been sufficient Jewish students on the campus to warrant such an organization. There are 230 Jewish students enrolled in the University of Iowa.
