The first group of Brandeis University students and graduates to be awarded Sachar International Fellowships will begin their studies abroad this summer and fall, it was announced here today. Four of them will attend universities in Africa, one in England and one in Jerusalem. The Fellowship Fund was established by the Brandeis Trustees and named for the university’s first president and present chancellor, Dr. Abraham L. Sachar. It will enable up to 12 Brandeis students to study at selected universities abroad during 1969-70.
