The Jewish News, a weekly newspaper published here, reported last week that Detroit industrialist Max M. Fisher, a local and national Jewish leader, is believed slated for a Cabinet post in the Administration of Richard M. Nixon.
According to the Jewish News, Mr. Fisher is most likely to be appointed Secretary of Housing and Urban Affairs although he could be selected for Secretary of the Treasury and has also been mentioned as a possible Ambassador to Great Britain. Mr. Fisher served as President-elect Nixon’s special advisor on urban and community affairs during the election campaign and headed the Concerned Citizens for Nixon, a group that campaigned on Mr. Nixon’s behalf among Jews. Mr. Fisher is presently United Israel Appeal president.
