Five Arab saboteurs were killed and two Israeli soldiers were wounded in a clash today between an Israeli patrol and a gang of Arab saboteurs north of Jericho, a military spokesmen announced. Two Arabs were captured. One of them was wounded in the encounter.
The spokesman said that the patrol spotted the saboteurs in a house. As the Israelis approached, they came under heavy fire from the building which wounded one soldier. Another soldier was wounded in the assault that ended with five of the Arabs dead. The house yielded seven Russian-made Kalachnikoff assault guns and four magazines for each, three hand grenades and three double bazooka shells.
