A military court in Nablus imposed prison sentences of 2 1/2-4 1/2 years today on five Arab youths convicted of throwing Molotov cocktails at Israeli vehicles and at the home of a local Arab suspected of collaborating with the Israeli authorities. Although no one was hurt by the gasoline bombs, the court said the relatively stiff sentences were pronounce in order to deter similar attacks in the future. The incidence of Molotov cocktail attacks on Israeli vehicles has increased in recent weeks.
Meanwhile, Israeli soldiers erected barricades at the entrance to Bethlehem University this morning after reports that outsiders planned to enter the campus to incite disorder among the students. The barricades were removed at noon.
