Leading Jewish educators from all parts of the United States will start tomorrow a five-day discussion of Jewish education in this country at Cejwin Camps, Port Jervis, N.Y.
The five-day program, arranged by the American Association for Jewish Education, includes revision and reconstruction of Jewish school curricula, the place of Hebrew in the curriculum, problems of school management, school activities supplementary to classroom instruction, relationships between schools and local bureaus of Jewish education, and experimentation on the elementary school level.
Discussion leaders include Dr. Israel S. Chipkin, vice-president of the Association; Dr. Azriel Eisenberg, executive vice-president of the Jewish Education Committee of New York; Rabbi George Ende, consultant of the Jewish Education Committee of New York; Dr. Uriah Z. Engelman, director of the Department of Research and Information, A.A.J.E.; A.P. Gannes, executive director of the Philadelphia Council on Jewish Education; A. Hillel Henkin, executive director of the New Haven Bureau of Jewish Education; Dr. Leo L. Honor, professor of education at Dropsie College; Dr. David Rudavsky, executive director of the Jewish Education Association of Essex County, N.J.
