Five hundred North Americans making aliyah will fly to Israel on Tuesday. Several dignitaries will bid the group farewell, including Danny Ayalon, Israel’s ambassador to the United States. Upon arrival, they will be welcomed by Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, Finance Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Sallai Meridor, chairman of the Jewish Agency for Israel, which handles immigration and absorption.
