Mr. Ginsburg asked for support for the hospitals. A group headed by Peter Leavit pledged the sum of $125,000, on condition that the entire sum of $500,000 needed would be raised by July 1. Mr. Ginsburg asked for assistance to conduct a two-weeks’ drive in order to raise the amount needed. Three hundred seventy thousand dollars have already been pledged towards the $500,000 to meet the building debts.
Judge Walter Collins of the Superior Court was a speaker. A. C. Ratchesky was toastmaster, and the other speakers were Dr. Charles Willinsky, former Mayor James M. Curley, Dr. Harry Linenthal, Henry Penn, and Judge A. K. Cohen.
