Five new mass graves containing the bodies of some 500 Jews have been discovered in the American zone of Austria, it was reported here today.
Three hundred corpses were found in a single grave at Weisskirchen near Wels. They were Hungarian Jews who had been shot by guards while en route to Western Austria. Bodies were found on the road from Budapest to the Mauthausen death camp. The search for the bodies was undertaken by the Austrian Committee of Former Concentration Camp Prisoners at Linz.
