Five women’s organizations in Israel created a coalition to heighten awareness of women’s issues in the months leading up to November’s nationwide municipal elections, according to the Israeli daily Ha’aretz. The coalition includes Emunah, Na’amat, WIZO, the Israel Women’s Network and the Municipal Women’s Councils. The coalition is planning to launch a campaign to expand women’s representation in the Israeli political establishment.
