Israel’s three institutions of higher learning–the Hebrew University, the Weizmann Institute and the Haifa Technion–will benefit from this year’s annual Campus Charity Chest conducted by the students at the University of Miami.
Paul Anton and Ed Dick, co-chairman of the Campus Chest’s social welfare committee, said that the decision to include the Israeli institutions to the causes they support was prompted by a letter from Professor Albert Einstein. “In their classrooms and laboratories, these institutions are fashioning the future of Israel,” Prof. Einstein wrote.
