Anti-Semitic literature was distributed today in front of the headquarters of the Republican National Convention by supporters of Gen. Douglas MacArthur who were wearing “MacArthur buttons.”
The anti-Semites handed out cards carrying a picture of Gen. Dwight Eisenhower, a Jewish Star, and a caricature of a Jew. Under Eisenhower’s picture was the word “Ikie.” The reverse side of the card said that Eisenhower was the choice of the Anti-Defamation League and others, including a list of several Jews. It was determined that the cards were printed by the Gerald L.K. Smith organization at St. Louis, Mo.
