Following a joint meeting of the German section of the Jewish Agency Council and of the praesidium of the German Keren Hayesod under the chairmanship of Oscar Wasserman, the following message of condolence was despatched to James Marshall, Louis Marshall’s son.
“We admired the outstanding Jewish leader who was the first chairman of the Jewish Agency Council. Since it was not given to him to lead the Jewish Agency to its goal, you endeavor to carry out your father’s task to continue the peaceful reconstruction work in amity between Jews and Arabs.”
