In an effort to demonstrate to other employers that it is to their best interests to give the utmost of consideration to labor, Borden’s Farm Products Company, Inc., announced yesterday that it has signed an agreement with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Chauffeurs, Stablemen and Helpers of America, Inc.
Recognition was accorded to the Brotherhood, an affiliate of the American Federation of Labor, as the collective bargaining agency for the employes of the dairy firm.
Harry A. Cronk, president of Borden’s, said his company is “recognizing the arrival of an altered era in employe representation” and pointed out that in negotiations with the union he was “fully mindful” of President Roosevelt’s recent appeal for cessation of industrial strife.
