The largest dinner to be held here for the United Jewish appeal will take place Wednesday evening at the Hotel Commodore, with Felix M. Warburg, national chairman of the $3,000, 000 Drive, as guest of honor of the Food Division of this campaign.
With $50,000 as their goal for German Jewish relief, leaders in all branches of the food trades and allied industries are now engaged in obtaining subscription for the dinner at $50 per couple. The amount made available from the subscriptions and special contributions will be turned over to Mr. United Jewish Appeal.
In addition to Mr. Warburg, speakers at the dinner will include Morris Rothenberg, president of Zionist Organization of America, and Judge Jonah J. Goldstein.
Dr. G. A. Lowenstein and Edward Levine are co-chairmen of the Food Division and Abraham Krasne is treasurer. Other officers are Simon Adler, Harold M. Hirsch, William Lowenstein and Abraham W. Wechsler, co-chairmen, Joseph Burger, David Elfenbein, Ben S. Freeman, Paul Henkel, Morris Goldman, Charles S. Manos, and Rudolf Scherl, vice-chairman, and Samuel Goldstein Secretary.
