For the first time, Bank Leumi Trust Company of New York ranks among the world’s 500 largest banks, by deposit size. According to the rankings compiled by the American Banker in its July 30 issue, the Trust Company’s ranking is 481 which represents a jump of 20 places from last year. In the U.S., Bank Leumi Trust Company of New York ranks among the top 1 percent of all 15,000 commercial banks in the country. The parent company of the Trust Company, Bank Leumi le-Israel B.M. ranks number 95 worldwide, a gain of four places over last year.
