Henry Ford II. head of the Ford Motor Co., will arrive in Israel tomorrow for a week-long visit sponsored by the United Jewish Appeal to which Ford has been a regular contributor. He will be accompanied on his visit by Max M. Fisher of Detroit, chairman of the Jewish Agency’s Board of Governors and president of the Council of Jewish Federations and Welfare funds. A government source said that Ford’s visit was not a business trip but his fire tour of a country which he has never visited before. He will meet with Israeli leaders and inspect his firm’s assembly plant in Nazareth.
