Foreign Ministry sources yesterday corrected a statement made last week that three Soviet citizens had been granted visitors’ visas to attend the convention of the Moscow-oriented New Communist Party. The ministry said the visa applications were still under consideration. The evening newspaper Yediot Achronot reported that an Israeli physicist from the Haifa Technion had been refused entry to the Soviet Union to attend a scientific meeting sponsored by an international body.
