Leaflets calling on Jews to “assert themselves” and to “build up Judea in Hungary” have been circulating in the city of Debrecen and the surrounding townships, it was reported today. Jewish leaders have branded the leaflets a forgery and expressed the opinion that they were issued by groups seeking to provoke anti-Semitic disturbances. Police are investigating the origin of the literature.
