A new lodge, to be known as the Thomas Jefferson Lodge has been formed by the United States Grand Lodge of the Free Sons of Israel.
Theodore Fred Kuper, National Director of the Thomas Jefferson Foundation has accepted the presidency of the Lodge. A ceremony celebrating the foundation of the Lodge was held by the Grand Lodge. Messages of felicitation were received from Governor-elect Herbert H. Lehman, United States Senator Royal S. Copeland, J. G. Pollard, Governor of Virginia; Stuart G. Gibboney, President of the Thomas Jefferson Memorial Foundation. The new lodge was formed at the initiative of Maurice R. Teshnor, editor of the Freeson magazine.
