The formal celebration of the 70th birthday of Professor Simeon Dubnow, world-famous Jewish historian, was held here with hundreds of prominent political and scientific personages present. George Kareski, president of the Berlin Jewish community, Leo Wolff, chairman of the Union of Prussian Jewish Communities, Dr. Albert Klee, Zionist leader and M. Joachimson, representing the Relief Association of German Jews, all expressed their joy and appreciation at the honor that the scientists were paying to Professor Dubnow.
Ismar Elbogen and Gotthold Weil praised Professor Dubnow’s personality and lauded him as the inspiration for a new Jewish-mindedness.
