Dr. Constantin T. Dumba, former Austrian Ambassador to the United States and president of the Austrian League of Nations Unions, today submitted a sharply worded memorandum to Chancellor Kurt Schuschnigg protesting against governmental toleration of anti-Semitism.
Governmental leniency toward anti-Semitic publications which urge boycotting Jews and incite the population against them is endangering sympathy toward Austria, Dr. Dumba’s memorandum pointed out.
He also charged that the action of the government is “disturbing internal Austrian economy and flagrantly infringing or the Austrian constitution and laws.”
