Former Nazi-era slave laborers in Poland will file new lawsuits in the United States pressing Germany for a faster settlement to claims dating back to the Holocaust era, according to a Polish governmental official. Polish Chief of Staff Jerzy Widzyk, who made the announcement last Friday after meeting with U.S. lawyers who represent Jewish and Polish fomer slave laborers, added that his government would continue to talk with Germany about compensation for the laborers.
