Former Premier Golda Meir who was as tough as any man–and sometimes tougher than most–during her six years of presiding over Israel’s government in war and peace, is no militant women’s libber. “I am not a great admirer of the kind of feminism that gives rise to bra-burning, hatred of men or a campaign against motherhood,” Mrs. Meir wrote in her autobiography, “My Life,” just published in Israel by Steimatzky and in London by Weidenfield & Nicholson. “I had a great regard for those energetic, hard-working women within the ranks of the Labor movement,” she said.
