Former President Clinton suggested that Ariel Sharon’s health crisis is a test from God. “His illness, just as 10 years ago Yitzhak Rabin’s death, puts yet another obstacle on the path of the peacemakers. It’s almost as if God was testing them one more time to rise again and to keep on,” Clinton said Monday after meeting French President Jacques Chirac in Paris. “This is the only answer in the Middle East: reconciliation of the Palestinians and the Israelis based on the sharing of a small piece of land and an enormous potential future,” he said.
