Former President Ephraim Katzir of Israel was received here by President Jose Lopez Portillo. He said at a press conference later that relations between Mexico and Israel are excellent and expressed hope that Israel’s peace treaty with Egypt will lead to peace with its other Arab neighbors. Katzir was honored by the Mexican Friends of Tel Aviv University whose president is Dr. Jaime Constantine. It is his second visit to Mexico, his first having been a state visit in November, 1977 as President of Israel.
