Former Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir and veteran diplomat Abba Eban are the recipients of this year’s Israel Prize for Lifetime Achievement. The award is also being given to former Knesset member Mordechai Ben- Porat, who played a key role in the immigration of 120,000 Iraqi Jews to Israel in the late 1940s and 1950s.
