A group of former Young Judaeans who were leading spirits in the Young Judaea organization during the first decade of its existence met at the Hotel McAlpin last Thursday evening, and organized for Jewish and more especially Zionist services. Sundel Doniger, former national chairman of Young Judaea and sponsor of this effort, presided, and Emanuel Neumann, a former Young Judaean and now president of the Jewish National Fund and a leading member of the Zionist administration, discussed the present crisis in the Zionist movement.
This group of former Young Judaeans will function under the name of Judaean League, and will aim to reestablish contact with former members and leaders of Young Judaea clubs; to revitalize and stimulate their Jewish cultural and social interests; to make Zionist ideals once again potent in their lives; and to regain their interest in and support for present day Young Judaea.
The following are the officers of the League: Sundel Doniger, president; Emanuel Neumann, vice-president; Ralph Wechsler, treasurer; Jeanette Leibel, recording secretary and Mrs. Lawrence Meyer, corresponding secretary.
