The four Jewish faculty members of the course are Rabbi Arthur Gilbert, director of religious activities of the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith, and three faculty members of the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion — Dr. Ellis Rivkin, Rabbi Samuel Sandmel and Rabbi Eugene Borowitz.
