The trial of four Austrian war criminals on charges of murdering 102 Hungarian Jews, will begin Aug. 13 in the People’s Court in Vienna, it was announced here today. The trial is “awaited with great interest” by the public, declared the Vienna radio.
The four men who were members of the Nazi Storm Troops are accused of murdering the Hungarian Jews while they were being transferred from a concentration camp to another camp at Deutschaltenburg, said the broadcast. Admission to the trial will be by tickets which are available through the secretariats of the democratic parties, the broadcast added.
