A four-day conference to discuss current problems in Jewish education opened here today under the auspices of the American Association for Jewish Education. More than 40 top Jewish educators from the United States and Canada are participating in the parley, which is being held at Camp Cejwin.

The educators will reevaluate the programs of local bureaus of Jewish education, discuss the “establishment of minimum educational and attendance standards, tuition fees, licensing of teachers and transportation of pupils to school,” and review the question of budgeting for Jewish education. Judah Pilch, executive director of the Association, announced that participants in the conference come from Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, Newark, Pittsburgh, Savannah, Toronto and other cities.
