According to information released here today, the Jewish organizations who yesterday petitioned the Supreme Court to be allowed to intervene in the case of the Schenectady Union-Star, which is being sued for libel by Rep. Martin Sweeney of Ohio, are: the American Jewish Committee, the B’nai B’rith, the Jewish Labor Committee and the American Jewish Congress. The Jewish Peoples Committee, which had been previously mentioned as participating in the case, is not among the organizations who are asking to be allowed to aid the defense.
