Four people are seeking the legislative seat reserved for Iran’s Jewish community in that nation’s parliamentary elections. One of those running in Friday’s elections is the incumbent, Manouchehr Eliasi, who currently represents the community of about 35,000 people in the Iranian Parliament. Hilda-Rab Zadeh, an English teacher believed to be the first woman ever to seek the post, reportedly published part of her campaign literature in Hebrew.
