Four prominent Mexican intellectuals and writers were the recipients of the 1981 Rene Cassin Award for their contributions to better human understanding and the struggle for human rights. The winners of the award given by the Comite de Tribuna Israelita of the Central Jewish Committee are: Andreas Serra Rojas, Bernardo Ponce, Fernando Meraz and Jose Antonio Llamosa. The award was established last year to honor Cassin the French Jewish jurist and 1968 Nobel Peace Prize.
